SEREMBAN: A woman is believed to have fallen to her death at a hotel in Port Dickson yesterday.
Port Dickson Fire and Rescue Station chief Senior Fire Superintendent Mohd Kamal Mohd Timar said it received a report regarding the incident involving the 26-year-old woman at 6.35pm.
“The victim is believed to have fallen from the eighth floor directly onto the first-floor balcony of the hotel.
“The rescue team carried out the operation using a basket stretcher until it was completed.
“The victim was later confirmed dead by a medical officer from the Health Ministry, and the case has been handed over to the police for further investigation,” he said in a statement today.
Meanwhile, Port Dickson district police chief Superintendent Maslan Udin confirmed the incident, adding that further investigations are ongoing.
