Nope, it was an owl. Yes, a real owl.
The surprise appearance was captured in a TikTok video posted by @jazli.ai, where a Malaysian family was in the midst of their Hari Raya celebration.
As the camera panned across the room filled with laughter and festivities, it suddenly tilted upwards, revealing a calm, wide-eyed owl perched right above the curtain frame like it had front-row seats to the event.
But instead of flapping away or causing chaos, the owl just… chilled.
It observed the room with a deadpan stare, occasionally swivelling its head like a CCTV camera scanning the premises.
