KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk AC Mizal emphasised that 4U2C’s split wasn’t due to personal conflicts or arguments.
Instead, it stemmed from a management disagreement, and all the band members had never fallen out.
“It wasn’t our problem when we split. There was no real conflict among us at all,” he was quoted as saying in a news report yesterday.
“Back then, we considered ourselves to be like siblings. When we first got together as a group, we didn’t expect 4U2C to become such a big name.”
Another band member, Azam, explained that they decided to go their separate ways because they all had individual plans and paths to pursue.
“Everyone wanted to follow their own path and have their own direction,” he said.
Apart from AC and Azam, other band members – namely Aren, Yanz, Rinz, Lanz, and Charlie – were also present at a recent press conference to announce the band’s upcoming reunion concert, ‘WE 4U2C Live in Concert’.
The concert, which aims to relive the band’s heyday in the 1990s for both the members and their fans, will take place at the Idea Live Arena, Petaling Jaya, on Sept 15.
