SA Rugby and Nike have unveiled the new 2025 Springboks kit collection, paying homage to history and a national emblem.
The new Springboks kit collection brings together a bold new playing jersey and a retro-inspired heritage piece that nods to one of South Africa’s proudest sporting moments—exactly 30 years since Nelson Mandela handed over the Webb Ellis Cup to the Boks for their 1995 Rugby World Cup win.
The heritage jersey is a faithful throwback to the one worn in that legendary 15-12 win over New Zealand at Ellis Park, while the newly designed match-day kit gets a creative update with a unique collar inspired by the King Protea—our national flower.
While staying true to the classic green and gold, the jersey is packed with subtle touches that honour past victories and celebrate the Springboks’ rich legacy. Inside the collar, four stars represent the team’s World Cup triumphs, alongside the words #ForeverGreenForeverGold.
But this kit isn’t just about looks—it’s built for performance too. Using cutting-edge fabric tech, it offers breathability, flexibility, and durability to handle the pressure of the toughest matches. It also keeps players cool and dry, thanks to its moisture-wicking properties.
The alternate kit flips the script with a clean all-white design, finished with the signature green Protea collar. And it doesn’t stop there—supporters can expect a full training and off-field range too, so you can wear your pride on and off the pitch.
The full 2025 Springboks kit collection lands Wednesday, 25 June 2025—available at Nike stores, major retailers, and online.
