CYBERJAYA: Selangor police have urged universities to conduct thorough screenings when sourcing accommodation for students, especially outside campus grounds.
The move follows the recent murder of a university student at a condominium here on Tuesday.
It was learnt that the body was discovered in a rented unit that had been arranged by the university.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said police would engage university representatives to discuss appropriate screening measures for potential residents in student housing.
