DAVID Haye and Sian Osborne’s love of a ‘throuple’ raised eyebrows this week when they were snapped heading into shamed CBB star Mickey Rourke’s hotel.
Now, for the first time, several insiders with close knowledge of the inner workings of the pair’s unconventional relationship have lifted the lid on what really goes on behind closed doors – and under the sheets.

One well-informed source insists gorgeous model Sian and boxing champ David are actually more rock-solid and romantic than most marriages – and just because their relationship has a spicy side, it doesn’t mean the pair don’t play by any rules.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, one insider says: “First off, there is nothing going on between David, Sian and Mickey Rourke, let’s make that clear. While red-blooded Mickey wishes he could bed stunning Sian, he and David are mates that go way back so this is not their latest throuple.
‘It’s far from perverted’
“Actually, at the moment, David and Sian are not currently involved with a third person, and while they do enjoy these ‘throuples’ and are open to somebody new joining them, their agreement is actually a very healthy, honest one. It’s pretty refreshing and it’s far from perverted, a lot of people just don’t get it.”
Sian and David have been together since 2020 but their relationship set the headlines alight in 2023 when it was rumoured they were in a three-way romance with former Saturdays singer Una Healy.
Una denied being in a throuple, saying she only dated David and said they had a “lovely relationship”.
Later that same year, Sian and David were also linked to former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan, as well as stunning personal trainer Mica Jova.
Helen, who now dates construction worker Robbie Talbot, admitted she fell “in love” with David during a therapy session on Celebs Go Dating last year, but also said she was not in a throuple with Sian.
For their part, however, Sian and David have not commented publicly on the speculation, with David simply praising Sian on social media for being “a partner who has embraced my true essence, unconditionally”.
No one night stands
This has led some to assume the set-up allows David, 44, to have his cake and eat it, while Sian puts up with it to keep her man happy.
But our insiders claim this couldn’t be further from the truth.
Another member of their circle explains: “David isn’t off meeting girls and hooking up behind Sian’s back, there is no cheating going on and this isn’t an ‘anything goes’ arrangement,” explains the source.
“Neither of them have one night stands. Essentially, they sometimes welcome a third party into the relationship, but only if they both form a connection with that person. It might surprise a lot of people but David and Sian are both very spiritual people and they both have to have that mind-body connection to invite someone else into the bedroom.
“They’re kind of like 60s free love hippies, rather than two raging nymphomaniacs. Sian and David have a committed relationship just like any more conventional romance, but sometimes they welcome a shared girlfriend.”
Explaining the logistics in more detail, a third well-placed person claims the pair only allow women into their throuples, not men.

“They aren’t really a couple bound by rules, but of course they have boundaries in place. Sian and David have a deep soul connection and she is always his number one – they would never let a third partner come between them.
“If whoever they are with develops deeper feelings, it wouldn’t work for David and Sian because they put their own relationship above all else.
“Their throuple partners never live with them- they have fun with them and care for them, but there is no danger of either of them falling in love with someone else.
“Other women come and go, but Sian is David’s forever.
“Their lifestyle choice certainly wouldn’t work for everybody but they have far better communication and trust than I’ve witnessed in a lot of marriages.”
What is polyamory?
Polyamory is the practice of having romantic relationships with more than one person at the same time, with the knowledge and consent of all parties.
It can refer to relationships where one person has multiple partners or spouses, or where all parties are in a relationship with each other, for example in a throuple.
According to You Gov, 6.8% of people in the UK have been in a polyamorous relationship.
Speaking of marriages, naysayers can also forget the idea that Sian is sitting around waiting for David to tire of experimenting and put a ring on her finger.
A fourth, well-connected source reveals how the pair view the idea of wedded life.
“Marriage isn’t really on the cards for David and Sian, it’s not something they sit around thinking about.
‘Luckiest man in the world’
“For them, it’s quite a conventional, old-fashioned concept and while they’d never say never because who knows how people change in the future, Sian isn’t sitting around dreaming of a white dress and a future husband who is a one-woman man.
“Sian is also extremely secure and confident. She’s naturally beautiful, not riddled with jealousy about other women who might come into their lives, or determined to claim ownership of David through a legally-binding document.
“She simply doesn’t need it and David treats her like his queen.
“No matter how what anyone else thinks about their relationship, they don’t care. It works for them, and that’s all that matters. David is the luckiest man in the world to have Sian, and he knows it. ”
When contacted by The Sun, a rep for David said: “David and Sian do not comment on speculation.”
