Every year during Hari Raya, Malaysians would deck themselves in the trendiest and most fashionable clothing while celebrating the festive occasion with family and friends.
A local influencer has gone way beyond what most people would spend on their Raya clothing, where he reportedly spent a whopping RM1.5mil on clothes for himself and his entire family.
Prince Syed shows off RM1.5mil worth of Raya clothing
The influencer, known as Prince Syed among his followers, took to his Facebook account to show the clothes he and his family wore for Raya this year.
This included a Swarovski crystal-encrusted dress worth RM83,000, along with 30 different outfits for his wife to wear during the 30 days of the Ramadan month.
Aside from the 30 pieces of clothing, he also bought his wife 30 new bags and shoes too.
Even his children were dressed in the most lavish clothing, where they were gifted with a Swarovski crystal-encrusted dress and a Swarovski crystal shirt button, which cost RM320,000 and RM3,000 respectively.

‘Not a waste of money’
Speaking to mStar about the Raya clothing, Prince Syed commented that his purchase might have been “most expensive” worldwide, adding that many were aghast by the cost.
He also revealed that all of the clothing were hand-sewn by him over the course of three months.
Despite the costs, Prince Syed doesn’t feel that it was a waste of money, saying the clothes could be worn more than once.
If the clothes are not worn, they will be sold off and the proceeds will be donated to charity.
“I’ve sold some of my clothes from last year to fans, which they enthusiastically bought for themselves,” he said.
Prince Syed’s no stranger to going all out when it comes to dressing up, where he spent RM90,000 on 120 pieces of clothing for his family in a Barbie-themed Hari Raya last year.
