For their next match, Mamelodi Sundowns will face Brazil’s Fluminense in a do-or-die game that will decide if they continue in the FIFA Club World Cup or head back home.
If Sundowns win this match, they will advance to the knockout stages.
Sundowns started the tournament with a solid win (1-0) against South Korea’s Ulsan HD but suffered a setback after losing (3-4) to Borussia Dortmund in their second game on Saturday.
The current standings mean only a win against Fluminense will see them progress to the knockout stages—a draw won’t be enough due to Dortmund’s superior head-to-head record.
Mamelodi Sundowns vs. Fluminense match will take place on Wednesday, 25 June 2025, at 9pm (CAT).
