And while the stand is sold for displaying potted plants, savvy shoppers have been using it as a garden table instead.

Sharing her find on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, which boasts 2.6million members, one gushed: “I’m sorry but how cute is this little table.

“Well technically it’s a plant table but a perfect little table for me. £15 from B&M.”

Someone else wrote: “I’ve got one of these, they are lovely.”

“Omg I need this”, cried a third.

A fourth said: “Might have to have one of these in my garden.”

A fifth added: “I have that I couldn’t resist, it’s super cute.”

Meanwhile, a sixth chimed in: “I saw this and wasn’t sure a plant could take the weight but I love your idea of a garden table now to find one at my local store.”

Other shoppers have even insisted that the stand will look cute indoors.

One person wrote: “That’s so cute for kids room I’d put a little book and night light on.”

Somebody else echoed: “I want this as a bedside table for my grandson’s room, it’s so cute.”

Elsewhere, The Range has unveiled a stunning new garden ornament which will help transform your outdoor space in an instant.

Retailing for just £14.99, the ornament has left shoppers wowed online as many admit they’re eager to get their hands on the garden staple.

Originally priced at £25.95, the solar ornament has been slashed in price by a whopping 42 per cent, saving shoppers £10.96.

The piece is is not just an ornament and solar light, but also a planter, meaning you get three incredible garden buys in one – what’s not to love?

How to find gardening bargains

Doing up your garden to enjoy on warm and sunny days needn't cost the earth.

Sun Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to get a top deal on items for the garden…

You can bag big savings on plants, shrubs and flowers, as well as gardening tools and furniture.

Many retailers have flash sales across entire seasonal ranges – often these promotions tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout.

Sign up to mailing lists of your favourite brands and you’ll be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.

Use a price comparison site to search out the best value items.

And keep a close eye on the specialbuys at Aldi and middle of Lidl drops which drop a couple of times a week and usually mean great value seasonal items for your outdoor areas.

If you are not in a hurry to buy an item, try adding it to the shopping cart online and leaving it for a couple of days.

Sometimes big brands will try to tempt you into the sale by offering you a discount.

And always check if you can get cashback before paying.

It’s especially worth using sites such as Topcashback, Quidco and app Jamdoughnut when buying bigger ticket items such as garden furniture as you’ll get a nice kickback.

Britain’s Got Talent fans work out exact moment magician ‘revealed’ her trick – after show ‘fix’ row

BRITAIN’S Got Talent fans say they have worked out the exact moment a magician “revealed” her trick

It comes after viewers slammed the ITV show for being “fixed” following Alexandra Burgio spellbinding act.

Alexandra kicked off her trick with her mouth taped shut, before taping Simon Cowell’s closed too.

His fellow panelist Amanda Holden, 54, sparked a series of cheers from the audience while Alesha Dixon, 46, chanted: “Go on girl.”

She then gave the 65-year-old a laser pen and asked him to choose a card, which she then turned over to reveal the word Fierce.

The Canadian then pulled the masking tape off The X Factor mouth, which also revealed the same word underneath.

Amanda then gushed “wow” as the audience burst into a round of applause.

The trick involved cards on a board, but some viewers think they spotted how she did it.

One viewer posted: “All that build up to a simple card switch.”

Another agreed: “Just saw the switch there.”

A third added: “They cutaway from the close up when she did the card switch on the first trick.”

This one explained the trick further: “The card to the left next to the card under the card Simon picked appears to have two cards together. You can see the edge of the 2nd card there.

“If you freeze the video, you can see that there are other cards with what appears to show two cards attached.

“I see at least 4 of them. She could have the word Fierce written on the back card, and she switched it out when she picked the card up with her back to the audience before she showed the card to the audience.”

FIX CLAIMS

Meanwhile, it comes after BGT was called a “fix” on Saturday night after fans realised that Alexandra had appeared on three other similar shows.

Despite their amazement at her act, some fans were quick to expose her reality TV past.

They revealed how she was first spotted on Canada‘s Got Talent – a show on which she has featured twice.

Just last year, she reached the semi final stage of BGT’s sister show.

Alex has also found further fame as part of celebrated magician duo Penn and Teller’s US TV series Fool Us, two years ago.

One fan was quick to take to YouTube to call out a “fix” as one put “so obviously rigged”.

Another moaned: “Nothing against the woman, BUT this act has already been on Canada Got Talent TWICE… once as an assistant and 2nd was on her own.

“Far as I know she got as far as the semi finals. She’s also been on Penn & Teller’s show.”

One then ranted: “Such a poor magic act and NOT ORIGINAL,” as another referenced her Penn and Teller skit and said: “Does she do anything else?”

A fan then mused: “Knew I’d seen her before. She did the exact same act on Penn and Teller’s Fool Us.”

BGT continues on ITVX on Saturday.

BGT's Best Golden Buzzer Moments

BGT have handed out many Golden Buzzer's over the years, can you remember some of the most famous

  • Loren Allred – Loren Allred, 32, from Brooklyn, New York jetted to London to audition after recording the vocals for The Greatest Showman. The stunning singer got a standing ovation and a Golden Buzzer from the judges as she delivered a stirring rendition of Never Enough from the popular film. Loren came out on stage and revealed to the judges they would have heard her voice many times before that moment. “I was hired to record the vocals for The Greatest Showman as a guide for the actors to know how to sing the songs,” she explained. Loren then revealed actress Rebecca Ferguson was so stunned by her singing that she decided to let her vocals be heard in the movie. “So she lip-synced,” Loren said.
  • Chicken Shed Theatre Company – Comprised of individuals aged between 5 and 37, the group was set up to welcome anyone irrespective of background to get up on stage and perform and fulfil their dream. Chicken Shed prides itself on accepting anyone and does not hold auditions to make the group a safe and inclusive space. The group wowed as they performed Wonder by Naughty Boy featuring Emeli Sande. It meant that Alesha wasted no time as she decided to hit her golden buzzer for the young performers. She told them it was her “honour” to reward their inclusiveness with her golden buzzer.
  • The Dancing Granny – Granny Paddy Jones and her professional partner Niko Espinosa first hit headlines when they won the Spanish talent show Tú sí que vales in 2009, before going on to appear on Britain’s Got Talent in 2014 where they came ninth. Amanda Holden was so impressed with Paddy that she gave her the Golden Buzzer, which sent them straight through to the semi-finals. But things took a worrying turn when Paddy cracked a rib while rehearsing a new move and her place on the show was under doubt. She was given the all-clear to perform in the end but didn’t quite live up to expectations.
  • Bars and Melody – They will forever be remembered for their anti-bullying song on the talent show. Bars and Melody were first seen on the 2014 series of Britain’s Got Talent, getting shuttled into the semi-finals when Simon Cowell pressed his Golden Buzzer. They made it to the final thanks to a performance of I’ll Be Missing You but lost out on the crown to Collabro. These days Charlie Lenehan – known as Melody – is covered in tattoos, with inkings on his neck, arms and chest. But he is as close as ever to co-star Leondre Devries – who is Bars – with the pair seen enjoying themselves in exotic locations all over the world.

Inside Richard Boyd Barrett’s life from famous birth parents to tragic child loss after TD’s ‘shock’ cancer diagnosis

RICHARD Boyd Barrett yesterday confirmed he will temporarily step back from politics following a throat cancer diagnosis.

The People Before Profit leader vowed to be back “as soon as possible” but admitted that his treatment, which said will be “fairly intense”, is expected to take at least a couple of months.

Speaking on RTE’s Today with Claire Byrne, the Dublin politician said he wanted to make sure those who voted for People Before Profit “deserve to know” if he’s not around.

Richard explained: “I wanted to explain it because if I just disappeared, people, the constituents who elected me, would be wondering where I’m gone, so I wanted to do them the service of telling them.”

He added the cancer had been caught early and that doctors believe he has a “good chance”.

Richard said: “It’s been caught relatively early because it was in my tonsils, it’s gone to my lymph nodes but no further, so I have to get radio[therapy] and chemotherapy, and they say the chances of that working are about eight or nine out of ten, which is good.

“But obviously you could be unlucky, and be the one in ten or the two in ten that it doesn’t work for, so you have to throw everything at it.”

He first noticed swelling while shaving during the General Election last year and had a biopsy taken and his tonsils removed.

The TD was reelected to the Dail in the final count of the Irish General Election in November after becoming leader of PBP in October 2024.

He is the party’s spokesperson on Housing and Finance.

And, after Richard confirmed that his constituency office in Dun Laoighaire will remain open as he temporarily steps away, we have outlined everything we know about the TD.

EARLIER POLITICAL CAREER

Boyd Barrett first stood for election in the Dun Laoighaire constituency for the 2002 election as a member of the Socialist Workers Party.

He then contested the 2004 local elections for Dun Laoighaire Rathdown County Council and was not successful.

In 2007, Barrett ran for Dail election again as a People Before Profit candidate with the support of his birth mother Sinead Cusack – this attempt was unsuccessful.

Barrett was then elected to Dun Laoighaire-Rathdown County Council in 2009, winning 22.8 per cent of the vote.

This was later followed by success in the 2011 general election under the United Left Alliance Banner, but still on the ballot as a PBP candidate.

He was reelected in 2020’s General Election after topping the polls.

Boyd Barrett has been involved in campaigns against bin and water charges, privatisation of hospitals and support of the Rossport Five and also organised mass protests against the war in Iraq in 2003.

He is the chair of the Irish Anti-War movement and has been vocal in his support for Palestine, taking part in some protests calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.

WHAT IS HIS UPBRINGING?

Richard Boyd Barrett was born on February 6, 1967.

He was adopted as a baby and raised by David Boyd Barrett, an accountant, and Valerie Boyd Barrett, a hairdresser, in Glenageary in Dun Laoighaire, Co Dublin.

He attended St Michael’s College in Dublin for his schooling and later went on to receive a master’s degree in English Literature from University College Dublin.

WHO ARE HIS BIRTH PARENTS?

Richard Boyd Barrett’s birth mother is renowned actress Sinead Cusack, of the Cusack family dynasty.

Sinead gave birth to Barrett when she was 20-years-old and had just begun her acting career in the Abbey theatre following in the footsteps of her legendary father Cyril.

Cusack went on to have a tenured career on stage and screen, receiving two Tony Award nominations and five Olivier Award nominations.

His birth father is the iconic Irish actor and director Vincent Dowling, who passed away in 2013.

Dowling was 19 years Cusack’s senior when they had a brief relationship.

He was also a member of the Abbey Theatre company and he had a stint as the Abbey Theatre’s artistic director in the late 80s.

He emigrated to Ohio in the US and is also credited for discovering Tom Hanks.

It was revealed by Boyd Barrett that Cusack was his birth mother in 2007, the two had reunited and Cusack had been a vocal supporter of the Anti War movement, which Barrett was a part of.

Dowling was revealed as Boyd Barrett’s birth father in 2013.

HEARTBREAKING LOSS

The TD has openly spoken about losing his daughter Ella.

He spoke bravely about his little girl before the Repeal the 8th referendum in Ireland.

When he and his wife were expecting Ella was diagnosed with birth defects “incompatible with life”.

He addressed the Dail in 2015 when Independent TD Clare Daly proposed amendment to the Protection of Life during Pregnancy Act that would allow abortions in cases of fatal foetal abnormalities.

He said: “It was a beautiful spring day exactly like today when we had to bury her. Myself, her mother and her two brothers think about her every day.

“We have a tree, which a friend of ours kindly gave us at the time, planted on Killiney Hill to remind us of her and we go up there every year to remember her and think about how she might still be here.”

Supporting the amendment at the time he said Ella was “desperately wanted” and they sought multiple opinions on her diagnosis “but there was no doubt about it”.

Major A-road that joins onto Britain’s busiest motorway to close for ENTIRE weekend – see full diversion

Drivers are urged to plan ahead as the carriageway will be shut in both directions from 9pm on Friday to Monday morning.

A number of road closures are expected in the run up to Easter weekend[/caption]

The A3 which connects to the M25 will be shut this weekend causing havoc for those travelling around Milford, Wisley and Heathrow.

From Friday, the road between Painshill junction and Wisley Interchange will be shut for road works.

Meanwhile, the M25 is also set to close temporarily on Saturday for weather station replacement works from 10pm to 6am the following day.

Junction 13 to Junction 14 at Heathrow will be affected and a diversion route will be in place from National Highway Roads.

Drivers should expect severe delays at the start of next week as the A3 Southbound from Hogs Back to Milford is closed for improvement works.

This weekend will also see the M6 southbound lane close between junctions 39 and 40 from 10pm on Saturday to 6am on Sunday.

It will reopen at a reduced capacity of two lanes and a 40mph speed limit from Monday, 14.

A diversion will operate using the parallel A6 during both closures.

The works are part of a £9 million overhaul of the bridge, which supports the thoroughfare over the River Lowther in Cumbria.

It will allow vital concrete repairs to the superstructure and substructure of the massive structure.

And on Monday, the M3 northbound from Junction 4a at the Minley Interchange to Junction 3 at Lightwater will be closed for “major improvement works”.

This follows a raft of road closures in the last week, which saw the M3 and M6 shut for maintenance works.

Project manager Edgar Vila Pouca thanked motorists at the time “for their patience” and said a signed diversion would be implemented through the M3 junction 5 Spur Road, A30 Ringway and A30 Winchester Road.

He added: “I would urge anyone planning on travelling to allow extra time to complete their journey.”

Newcastle Crown Court heard the mutt attacked the intended target and “caused havoc in the streets”.

It also savaged another victim, Jake Moan, who had bravely tried to help Mr Rutter.

The court heard the animal “latched on” to the men and left them both with serious injuries that required hospital treatment.

Cops tasered the animal at the scene before it was humanely destroyed by a vet.

Pearson, 44, of Noble Street, Sunderland, who has 165 offences on his record, admitted two charges of being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog and has been jailed for three years.
